Patent Prosecution and its importance
The process of arguing for the patentability of invented machines, methods, or systems is known as patent prosecution. The process begins with applying for and receiving a patent from the relevant national patent offices, such as the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the European Patent Office, the Indian Patent Office, and so on.
Furthermore, the process entails asserting the novelty of a patent through rigorous scrutiny based on the respective patent authority's patentability guidelines, which is a time-consuming process with strict deadlines.
Deadlines are extremely important in any patent office, and failing to meet them can result in the abandonment of a patent application. Although deadlines can be pushed back, the process can be costly. As a result, managing the process in a timely manner can save that unnecessary expense and effort.
