Sharing Netflix Password is now Banned in this country.

It appears that people will now need to be cautious about sharing passwords for video streaming platforms (such as Netflix or Amazon Prime) because doing so could land them in court. Those who do not live in the UK, however, should not be concerned because this will not occur in other countries.

The country's Intellectual Property Office (IPO) has declared password sharing a crime.

Netflix's terms and conditions state that users may not share passwords with friends or strangers, but it has become common practise to share accounts with multiple users. Following this, the IPO claims that sharing passwords is illegal because it violates copyright laws. According to reports, the video streaming platform has the legal authority to take people to court.

As of now, Netflix has not taken any legal action against any users, so there is no need for concern. Netflix has previously stated that it wants to "make it easy" for people to share accounts with friends. As a result, the company has introduced features such as transferring profiles into a new account and allowing people to create "sub-accounts" for a third person by paying a fee.
